Job Overview and Key Responsibilities:The Senior Analyst - Loyalty Program Strategy and Insights role is responsible for supporting the analytics needed to help determine the value of currency products of MileagePlus. The role involves both data mining and data analytics to help understand trends with the currency of MileagePlus, facilitate forecasting of redeemed miles, deferred miles and work with colleagues in accounting and finance with ad hoc analysis related to currency and MileagePlus. This role will create month-end reports on various products of MileagePlus including direct-to-consumer mile sales, weighted average cost of miles redeemed for airline related products, ancillary sales using miles as a form of payment, Money+Miles tickets and any fee revenue. The role will help the team understand and optimize currency value internally and review competitiveness across other loyalty programs as applicable
- Activate and extract data from various internal databases to create reports on overall currency health
- Develop and maintain tools and models for forecasting of currency issuance and currency redemption
- Work with finance and accounting teams as lead business analyst in determining currency value, breakage, profitability
- Act as subject-matter-expert on currency health and collaborate with various MileagePlus teams across organization on matters related to currency value
NOTE: This position provides a hybrid work arrangement with approximately 50 of the time spent onsite at our Chicago office location and 50 remotely.

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):- Bachelors degree in business administration, Marketing or related major
- 2+ years experience in airline, loyalty or travel industry
- Proficiency and demonstrated knowledge of data extraction tools (SQL, PowerBI)
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Strong willingness to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate with finance and accounting teams
- Forecasting experience required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
The base pay range for this role is $79,800.00 to $108,790.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
