Compensation
- Base Salary: $130,000 – $145,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
- Commission: Performance-based commission opportunities available
Position Summary
As the Embraer Technical Sales Manager, you will identify and target sales opportunities and provide technical analysis in support of customer work packages — ranging from routine to complex. This position is based onsite at a maintenance and repair facility in Chattanooga, TN. Standard business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but flexibility is required to meet objectives, including occasional evening customer dinners or participation in industry events and trade shows.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize platforms such as Salesforce.com, Amstat, Corridor, and other aviation databases to manage and identify sales leads
- Analyze industry market data, competition, and trends to align offerings with customer and market needs
- Identify and evaluate marketing opportunities consistent with product line objectives
- Develop customer target schedules based on upcoming maintenance events across regions
- Engage with customers to assess upcoming needs and coordinate sales schedules accordingly
- Work closely with Regional Sales Managers to support regional maintenance opportunities
- Provide technical support on maintenance requirements, proposal terms, and related inquiries
- Prepare technical sales presentations, contract reviews, and proposals, either independently or in coordination with other departments
- Communicate with Contract Administrators to review quotes and provide technical input on RFQs
- Conduct internal cost analyses comparing historical costs with current proposals
- Maintain up-to-date databases of pricing for flat-rate and time/material jobs
- Monitor adherence to original proposals and ensure full compliance with work scopes and agreements
- Attend trade shows and vendor events to maintain and build client relationships
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Airframe and Powerplant License and/or a degree in Aviation Technology or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, technical representation, or similar roles
- Strong technical knowledge of the Embraer product line
- Familiarity with airframe-specific maintenance requirements and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant software
- Ability to travel and valid driver’s license required
