Role Introduction
Reports to: Head of Corporate Sales - Japan
Location / Country: Tokyo / Japan
Employment Condition: Permanent
We are looking for a Sales Manager - Corporate who is responsible for the corporate spanet across Japan. The successful candidate is expected to achieve and exceed the agreed Corporate and Travel Management Company sales targets through intelligent use of data. Continuously seek to acquire new business and establish Cathay in new spanets, while proactively negotiating and managing existing Corporate and Travel Management Company (TMC) accounts

Key Responsibilities
Revenue Generations
- Acquire high value accounts as per agreed targets using a data and insight driven approach
- Engage in consultative and insightful selling techniques and services with a primary focus on new business development
Portfolio Management
- Contribute to the strategic partnership and manage the local relationship for Global Corporates or Global TMCs
- Actively seek ways to improve the quality of the revenue generated by the portfolio
General
- Actively manage the cost of sales needed to generate the revenue within the mandated parameters
- Closely monitor the effectiveness of incentive/discount schemes by conducting regular and timely performance reviews in order to maximise available and potential sales opportunities
- Drive adoption and penetration of Business Plus
People Development and Performance Management
- Build a strong and motivated team, ensuring the right organisational structure and the right people are in place to foster positive team spirit and facilitate teamwork
- Demonstrate leadership and lead by example in accordance with Cathay’s core values
- Develop employees with high potential and identify learning opportunities to ensure appropriate training and development
E&A
- Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required
Requirements
- A minimum of four years’ recent experience in Sales
- Knowledge of, or experience in, the airline industry is a distinct advantage
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in leading a target driven team to success
- Demonstrably strong networking and relationship management skills
- Has an achievement-based record in achieving targets
- Strong negotiation skills
- Adaptive to and embraces constant change
- Excellent command of both English and Japanese
- Must have the legal right to live and work in Japan
Benefits
- Base salary: JPY537,450/month~(determined based on experience and skills)
- Title allowance: JPY40,000/month
- Fixed allowance per month: JPY38,000 + Base salary x 7.4
- Other allowances: the company regulations apply including significant airline travel discounts
- Social insurance: Unemployment insurance, Workers compensation insurance, Health insurance, Welfare pension insurance
- Commuting expense allowance: Up to JPY50,000/month
- Working hours per day: 7.5 hours with some remote working days
- Break time: one hour
- Off day: Two days off every week
- Probationary period: 3 months
- Annual leave: 16 days in the first year after completing probationary period (prorated based on the month of joining)
- Potential for additional discretional bonus (depending on the Companys performance and financial status)
