Are you ready to take your career to new heights? Join our team as an Aircraft Paint Prepper! This is an entry-level position with no experience required - if you enjoy hands-on work and have a passion for aviation, we want you on our team.

As an Aircraft Paint Prepper, you will work on major projects for customers including Canadian North and Conair Aerial Firefighting.

This position offers on-the-job training and the opportunity to grow your career as a Certified Aircraft Painter recognized by the Canadian Council of Aviation and Aerospace (CCAA).

We have an upcoming training intake on November 4, 2024!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting our Certified Painters on a wide variety of projects
  • Washing, stripping, cleaning, masking, etching, and alondining aircraft parts

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Must be physically fit and comfortable with heights
  • Capable of climbing ladders and stairs, working in small spaces and lifting parts up to 50 lbs
  • Must be comfortable working with chemicals, degreasers, respirators and latex gloves (KF Aerospace provides all personal protective equipment)  
  • Ability to work and communicate well with a team
  • A valid driver’s license

HOURS OF WORK

  • Hours:  Monday to Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm
  • Must be open to working a flexible schedule, including occasional graveyard shifts

As an Aircraft Paint Prepper with KF Aerospace, you can start a rewarding career with a team of people who are passionate about their craft. The Aircraft Paint Prepper position ranges from $22.09 to $28.88 and is subject to performance and wage reviews every six months. To become certified, you must meet the following CCAA (Canadian Council of Aviation and Aerospace) requirements: 

  • You must complete 48months of on-the-job training to request a CCAA logbook
  • Completing your CCAA logbook will allow you to obtain your certification 

KF will pay for any fees directly associated with obtaining the certification Once these requirements are met, you will be eligible for a promotion which will expand your job responsibilities. The Certified Aircraft Painter pay scale ranges from $29.53 - $38.99 and is subject to annual performance and wage reviews.
