We have one of the cleanest and greenest fleets in the sky, from Airbus A350s and A330neos to the Boeing 787s. Our Engineering team is made up of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, and supply chain teams that help make sure they’re well maintained and ready to get our customers to their chosen destinations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join us as a Maintenance Aircraft Technician (Unlicensed) within Virgin Atlantic! In the role you will be responsible for accomplishing delegated maintenance tasks on VAA aircraft to the required Airworthiness standards. The primary objective is to ensure the continued safe operation of the aircraft by achieving, and striving to exceed, the standards of airworthiness set by Corporate and Airworthiness Authority policy, procedures, and requirements.
  • Carry out hands-on maintenance of aircraft and related systems and components.
  • Technicians must adhere to manufacturers approved maintenance procedures and the instruction of the designated supervising Certifying Engineer.
  • Technicians are expected to apply sound engineering practices to their duties and to fully communicate their actions. The Quality of maintenance accomplished by Technicians will affect the safety and operational reliability of the aircraft. • Participate in appraisals.
  • Drive effective control of costs as applicable to job role.
  • Drive compliance with Engineering safety.
You will have successfully completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent relevant experience and possess a sound engineering background, with relevant experience, demonstrating clear and effective hand skills and thinking.
