UnspecifiedCollins Aerospace in Shannon is a world leader in the repair of electrical generator components for commercial aircraft. Our center of excellence is responsible for electrical rewind repairs for all major commercial aircraft platforms and supports customers to include major airlines, maintenance and repair organizations, as well as distributors covering North and South America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
We are hiring for our Production Maintenance team. This team will work nights as soon as their training is complete (10 week of days training - Mon-Fri)
Once training is complete, working hours will be
Shift Operating Hours:
Monday to Thursday : 3.30pm – 12.00am
Friday 1.30pm – 8.30pm
Your Role
- Disassemble all assigned parts, strip, clean and prepare for winding or repair under supervision.
- Clean and dip all items according to procedures
- Clean and paint all items according to procedures.
- Make and prepare coils.
- Prepare kits for winding.
- Wind, connect and test all components where winding procedures are established.
- Assist in the development of specifications, tooling and winding procedures where procedures are not established.
- Train and direct the activities of lower grades.
- Read and follow procedures, routing and other work instructions
- Demonstrate proper use of simple hand and machine tools
- Demonstrate proper use of electrical/mechanical measuring devices
- Test and calibrate parts
- Other duties that may be assigned by the Operations Supervisor.

- Ability to acquire necessary repair skills/knowledge/certifications as required

- Assist in problem solving
- Full engagement with CORE and the utilization of CORE tools
- Assist in maintenance and continuous improvement standards.
- Full compliance with all engineering specifications and quality procedures
- Ensure all aspects of product and process quality are maintained
- Inspection as and when required.
- Train and direct other grades.
- Responsible for the safe operation of machines, hand tools and equipment in the department.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
