Principal Design Drafting Technicain

Contract Position
This position is supporting the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You would be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.

Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD designs and documentation for mechanical components and subsystems.
- Determine scale, reference planes, and dimension lines for accurate part, assembly, and installation drawings.
- Prepare production-ready detail drawings and recommend design modifications to improve product quality and ease manufacturing operations.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent required, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in material requirements, fabrication techniques, and manufacturability.
- Proficiency with industry-standard CAD tools; experience with Cadence OrCAD or Cadence Allegro strongly desired.
- Experience designing high-density multi-layer PCBs using CAD tools.
- Solid understanding of mechanical stress, structural, thermal, and tolerance analysis.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
