Job Description
The Patriot Battery System Technician (BST) will provide field experience in the technical support of the FMS Patriot Configuration III+ Radar equipment. Knowledge with the operational/analytical software used on the Patriot Radar systems. Experienced in using Patriot ECS troubleshooting software aids, such as Status Monitor, Switch 9, System Exerciser and Radar Action Cycler, in order to fault isolate system faults. Knowledge in the utilization of common industry external test equipment, such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power meters, frequency counters, spectrum and digital analyzers. Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. General application of concepts and principles.
What You Will Do
The BST also provides technical assistance in maintaining the Patriot power generation equipment, communications equipment and assists in missile handling operations as required. Prepares and submits maintenance reports and Patriot Failure Reports (PFRs). Performs other duties as required or directed by the section officer. This position is located in Sochaczew, Poland.
What You Will Learn
Experienced field engineer with military training in Patriot Configuration III Air Defense systems at the organizational level. Demonstrated experience with Department of the Army Modification Work Order (DAMWO) installations, to include system integration and checkout. Knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance of Remote Launch Communication Upgrade (RLCEU). Fiber Optic/ RF cable troubleshooting. Understanding and knowledge of military communications systems and encryption devices. Experienced working and communicating with an FMS customer.
Qualifications You Must Have
The BST must have excellent communication skills. The BST must also have previous Customer interface experience. Experienced senior field engineer in the technical support, at the organizational level, of the Patriot ICC, ECS, RS, CRG, BMC, IFF, AMG, GMT, LRPT and LS. Experienced in using Patriot ECS troubleshooting software aids such as Status Monitor. Knowledge and experience in the utilization of common industry external test equipment, such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power meters, frequency counters, spectrum and digital analyzers. Minimum of 5 years of direct experience with organizational level maintenance on Patriot Missile Systems. Have successfully completed the following Course U.S. Army Patriot Operator and System Mechanic Course for MOS 140E/140L, 24T/14E, 14T, or an equivalent course of instruction conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army Air Defense School or the Patriot Missile System Contractor.
Required Education:
BS Electrical Engineering or Applied Science. Will substitute experience for education (i.e., no degree plus 10 years of directly related experience.)

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
