Greenville Site Overview:
Working at our Greenville Facility: Advanced technology, advanced thinking and a superb work environment. When you come to work at the GE Aerospace Airfoils facility in Greenville, you’ll come to realize that you’re in a place where you can do your best. We’re producing High Pressure Turbine Blades that help power tomorrow’s commercial and military aircraft. We’re using innovative production methodologies including complex machining, special processes, and NDT.
Role Overview:
The Greenville Machine Operator is a skilled role that involves the manufacturing of complex engine components, working with exotic aerospace alloys on some of the latest CNC machine tools in a clean, air-conditioned facility. Successful candidates will participate in a self-directed team environment to identify and implement process improvement opportunities resulting in improved quality and product flow.
- Perform set-ups, tool changes, offsets, and run production on various CNC and non-CNC machines
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to include reduction of setup times and improvements in quality and throughput utilizing Lean Manufacturing techniques
- Must perform precision work to exacting tolerances
- Read and understand process operation sheets, tooling sheets, tech plans and associated documents
- Work from blue prints and work instructions to produce parts
- Have the ability to correctly gauge parts and record dimensions
The Ideal Candidate:
An Ideal candidate for our Machine Operator role would typically posses technical skills, Experience, and Attention to Detail. Problem Solving and Safety awareness would be beneficial on the job as well. These characteristics combined would make someone an ideal candidate for this role.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- A minimum of 1 year of full time manufacturing experience with manual or Computer Numerical Controlled machining using milling, turning, lasering and grinding processes or
- An associate’s degree or higher in a manufacturing or engineering discipline (for example, Computer Integrated Machining or Engineering Technology) including graduation from any recognized machinist or toolmaker apprenticeship or certification program
- Must be willing to work Weekend Shift
- Must successfully complete pre-employment physical/drug screen and on-going random drug screens
Preferred Qualifications:
- The ability to work from layouts and dimensions on drawings and read manual gauges
- The ability to load, align, and set up machine per drawing instructions and maintain quality production records
- The ability to read blueprints and be able to read shop math and have proficient knowledge of machining methods and cutting tools
- Strong computer skills are preferred
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves, hats, and safety shoes)

- Weekend Night Shift (Friday-Sunday 5th 7:00pm-7:12am)
