We are currently recruiting General Operatives to join Safran&8217;s manufacturing facility in Burnley. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced aerospace environment, supporting the production of high-quality aircraft components.
The Role
As a General Operative, you will support a variety of production activities across the shop floor, including sealing, surface preparation, and general finishing processes. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in producing quality output.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out sealing, masking, and surface preparation tasks on components
- Supporting paintshop and finishing processes where required
- Handling and moving parts safely within the production area
- Following detailed work instructions and engineering specifications
- Conducting basic visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
- Adhering to strict health & safety and aerospace quality standards
What We&8217;re Looking For
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment (desirable but not essential)
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Strong work ethic with a reliable and punctual attitude
- Ability to follow processes and work as part of a team
- Practical, hands-on approach with good manual skills
- Willingness to learn new skills such as sealing and finishing techniques
