Morson Edge are recruiting for Fitter / Testers to join a high-precision Military Assembly & Test environment based in Wolverhampton.
This role sits within a fast-paced aftermarket value stream, supporting the build and test of complex electrical and electro-mechanical units and sub-assemblies.
The Role
You will be responsible for the evaluation, assembly, and testing of aerospace units and sub-assemblies using a combination of electrical and mechanical techniques, working to technical drawings, process plans, and acceptance test schedules.
Key Responsibilities

Build and test units and sub-assemblies using electrical and mechanical techniques

Work to technical drawings, manufacturing process plans, and test schedules

Carry out testing using approved test facilities and record results accurately

Assemble PCBs using Through Hole and Surface Mount techniques

Identify and report non-conformances

Carry out electronic fault finding and diagnostic work

Support team leaders in achieving production targets

Participate in Lean events, workshops, and continuous improvement activities

Support stock control systems where required

Transport tools, materials, and equipment as needed

Maintain full compliance with quality procedures
Essential Skills & Experience

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electronics or Electro-Mechanical Engineering

Strong background in Electronics / Electro-Mechanical Assembly & Testing

Soldering and electrical wiring experience

Ability to work accurately in a high-quality manufacturing environment
Desirable Skills

Apprentice trained or time-served background

Experience using crimp tools and techniques

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics

Knowledge of ESD handling procedures

Understanding of PCB handling processes

Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

Good PC literacy and fault-finding skills

Calm under pressure with a flexible, proactive approach
