Summary of Role:
To ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the Facility, providing a clean, safe and efficient working environment for all users.
The Facilities Operative will assist and support the Facilities Manager and the Facilities Senior Administrative Assistant at Broughton in providing day to day operational management for all services within a portfolio of buildings.
This is an active and visible role requiring excellent customer relationship skills. Working as part of a Team the Facilities Operative will be expected to positively contribute to the performance of the business and build stong local relationships with the client and internal teams
Key Responsibilities
- Safety Inspections - Regularly inspect safety systems such as fire extinguishers, Fire escapes, emergency shower, first aid call points and LEV systems to ensure compliance.
- Building Maintenance - Perform minor repairs, office furniture moves, window cleaning, painting and decorating, minor plumbing works.
- Groundskeeping – Maintain outdoor areas, including mowing lawns, trimming trees/hedges, weeding of general areas and litter picking ensuring no FOD is present on site.
- Delivers activities to support operational objectives for their role.
- Oversee all site waste ensuring it is stored correctly and collected when required, ensuring all the paperwork is correctly provided.
- Contractor control - Booking and escorting contractors on site ensuring all correct RAMS and Job Registrations are complete.
- Hosting and escorting Contractors/visitors.
- Supports delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards.
- Supervises the activities of service partners to meet deadlines and quality standards taking account of impact outside area of responsibility.
- Support delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards.
- Support delivery of Environmental policy and standards.
- Support delivery of corporate policy and standards.
- Support customer and company audits ensuring optimum results are achieved.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar facilities or maintenance role.
- Ability to handle tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
- Must be eligible for SC Clearance.
- FLT licence (training can be provided).
- PA6 pesticide licence (training can be provided).
- Have a working knowledge of Microsoft word and excel
