Job Description:
Summary
Conducts multi-discipline counterintelligence (CI) activities in support of the Department of Energy Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence (DOE-IN).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive complex, diverse, and multi-faceted CI and counterterrorism (CT) investigations.
- Conduct and present face-to-face briefings/debriefings and presentations to Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC) personnel regarding hosting foreign nationals, foreign travel, and specific CI/CT risks and threats.
- Work closely with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), DOE CI headquarters elements and the United States Intelligence Community (USIC) to detect, deter and mitigate threats against KCNSC and NNSA/DOE equities.
- Produce detailed and accurate intelligence reports and records in appropriate intelligence databases, and investigative case files.
You Must Have
- Minimum of seven (7) years experience directly related to counterintelligence or intelligence collection.
- Bachelors degree in a social science, criminal justice, security, business or technical field.
- Ability to travel up to 20 of the time.
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- United States Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).
- Successfully pass CI-scope polygraph examination and continue to pass random CI-scope polygraph examination in order to main Q security clearance with SCI access.

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the United States Intelligence Community agencies mission including an extensive understanding of the applicable laws, orders, guidelines, directives, policies and procedures.
