Works with minimal supervision to perform carpentry related duties as assigned in a safe manner. Work includes, but not limited to, office build outs, reconfigurations, and other carpentry related duties as assigned. Operates power and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.

**1st shift - 6:00am – 2:30pm - Marlborough, MA. This position is an onsite role.**

What you will do:

  • Layout and installation of commercial ceiling grid, metal wall studs, sheetrock and insulation from blueprints, drawings, sketches, or from oral or written instruction.

  • Construction of custom customer buildout of complex & detailed shipping crates, ordinary plant woodwork, wooden structures/ crates as assigned.

  • Installation of office partition assembly from drawings, sketches, or verbal instruction.

  • Hang all wall-hung fixtures, such as, but not limited to, signs, pictures, mirrors, and similar items on wood or sheetrock.

  • Repairs and/or builds, from sketches, blueprints, and oral or written instructions.

  • Uses and cares for all common power and hand tools making, as required, machine setups such as installation of prefabricated systems and molding and mortising fixtures Generally works to tolerances of 1/32 inches.

  • Installation and drilling of passage sets, locks and key coring of door slab (with the exception of specialty locks), and mechanical panic hardware (i.e. crash bar).

  • Installation and removal of ceiling gridwork and ceiling components

  • Maintains a clean work area

  • Maintains records, moves materials, and follows safety rules in the performance of duties

  • Ability to work off a ladder, scaffolding, or lift.

  • Notifies supervision when major and extensive repairs or modifications are necessary.

  • Performs general maintenance and daily housekeeping of workplace, tools, and equipment.

  • Performs other related/similar duties as required or directed.

  • Machines, Tools, and Equipment used, includes but not limited to: Power circular bench saws, wood planers, band saws, radial saws, drill press, sanding machine, spindle sanders, explosive power stud drivers, brace and bit, mallets, chisels, hand planers, and other common power and hand tools. Aerial lifts, step ladders, and extension ladders as required.


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Current MA Construction Supervisor’s License (CSL)

  • Minimum of 5 years’ field or shop experience.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
