Job Description:

Description of the Project:

The internship project involves engaging in comprehensive development activities, primarily centered on Computer-Aided Design (CAD). The intern will be involved from the initial design stages to the creation of definition packages and the modification of existing parts. The project aims to develop and improve mechanical transmission components, including gearboxes, for the aerospace industry. The project will require close collaboration with various teams including Design, Stress Analysis, Technology, Quality, and Manufacturing.

Substantive scope of the project:

1. Conducting development activities from initial design to final definition packages, factoring in time and cost objectives.
2. Proposing and creating technical solutions for new designs or production improvements within the change management process.
3. Carrying out preliminary projects, 3D concept studies, 2D drawings, dimensional chain calculations, and analyzing the results.
4. Conducting technical research for product improvement or optimization, including functional analysis and validation of designed parts and systems.
5. Performing studies and structural analysis of gearbox parts, assemblies, and systems with load and static, dynamic, and fatigue analyses using Finite Element Method (FEM).
6. Day-to-day collaboration with colleagues across design, technology, quality, and manufacturing to provide technical support and drive product improvements.

Job Requirements:

1. Pursuing higher technical education in Mechanics, Aerospace, Structural Engineering, or related fields.
2. Basic to intermediate experience with CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, etc.).
3. Understanding of technical documentation and definition drawing.
4. Basic knowledge of GD&T, stack-up calculations, and FEM analyses.
5. Good command of English (minimum B2 level).
6. Enthusiasm for conducting technical projects and teamwork.
7. Strong communication skills and ability to work under time pressure.
8. Problem-solving orientation and decision-making skills.
9. Nice to have: Knowledge of Gearboxes design processes and programming skills in Python, C#, VBA, etc.
