JOB SUMMARY:

The MIS department supports the business units by providing reliable and scalable systems and software applications for its offices in the US and around the world. An integral component of this effort is ensuring implementation of the right solutions.

You will lead IT projects sometimes covering multiple site locations, and work closely with parent company project managers, functional project manages, business analysts, architects, development and infrastructure teams to deliver the project objectives on budget and within agreed timelines.

You will analyze and evaluate existing or new systems and software applications as a Study leader, and document propositions in alignment with business requirements while respecting MIS policies and procedures, architectural principles and best practices.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Lead or co-lead IT projects. Coordinate with functional project managers and parent company IT project managers, as required.

Directly manage all aspects of the project lifecycle in compliance with MIS policies and procedures.

Accountable for full life cycle project management, including preliminary Studies, project initiation and planning, execution, testing, implementation, and closeout.

Plan, program, and recommend allocation of resources to support the mission and associated goals and objectives.

Develop project schedules and recommend appropriate lead-lag times. Plan workload for multiple project management teams and de-conflict resources. Provide forward-looking schedule analysis to leadership.

Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas. Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.

Conducts regular, periodic, project management status meetings to apprise all stakeholders of project progress, issues, challenges, risks, and project management activities

Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan.

Accurately assess, manage, and report dependencies, risks, and issues.

Develop required project artifacts such as project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, etc. depending on methodology (Waterfall, Hybrid or Agile).

Publish periodic project status reports

For projects managed using Hybrid or Agile methodologies;

- conduct regular, periodic, Agile meetings and ceremonies

- conduct project Increment Planning Sessions

- conduct Sprint Planning and Scrum meetings

- conduct Retrospectives

Oversee the translation of business requirements to technical specifications to ensure traceability.

Propose and document solutions in alignment with functional requirements while respecting MIS policies and procedures, architectural principles and best practices.

Troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with the technical experts and developers and provide appropriate solutions.

Structure and prioritize business requirements and communicate plans to MIS and business stakeholders for review and approval.

Able to handle multiple projects at one time.

NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Create and maintain content on SharePoint sites.

Prepare training and system documentation, and perform user training.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

BS degree in Computer Science or in Information Systems, or equivalent experience along with the following minimum requirements:

• 2+ years experience leading IT projects.

• 4+ years experience analyzing, designing and documenting software solutions and systems.

• 1+ year experience effectively using project management tools like Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira/Confluence, Codebeamer, Clarizen, PlanView, etc.

• Able to produce compelling and high quality presentations, designs, and clear documentation using tools like PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.

• Understand the full life cycle project management, including preliminary Studies, project initiation and planning, execution, testing, implementation, and closeout.

• Understanding of systems analysis, design principles and methods including data structures design and data management.

• Able to understand IT concepts and convey those concepts in an easy to understand way to non-technical business personnel.

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

• Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

• Strong problem solving, analytical skills and attention to detail.

•Strong teamwork, flexibility and adaptability.•

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

PMP Certification

ITIL Certification

Experience working with design tools like Enterprise Architect, Bizagi Modeler.

Experience managing content on a SharePoint site

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Office environment. Must be able to work at desk and computer for significant portion of the day.

• Must be able to work effectively with other department users with varied experience levels.

• Must be available and willing to work non-business hours, weekends and holidays as required.

• Travel may be required to other Dassault sites or for training and conferences
