Rates: 43.13 per hour (Umbrella) / 32.24 per hour (PAYE) + holiday pay

Morson is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of our Aerospace Manufacturing client in Farnborough. This opportunity is based fulltime onsite in Farnborough and sits inside an advanced aerospace manufacturing environment working on next-generation, highly regulated products.
Role Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer will support the development, optimisation, and execution of manufacturing and assembly processes. Working within a production environment moving from R&D into serial build, you will provide hands-on engineering support to ensure Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery targets are consistently met.
Key activities include process instruction creation, ERP/PLM configuration, tooling identification, process improvement, and support to shop-floor operations.
Key Responsibilities

Create, review, and update Process Instructions (PIs) and shop-floor documentation.

Review end-to-end manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Set up and manage ERP/PLM routings, BoMs, and system data.

Provide hands-on support to assembly activities and ensure design intent is translated into efficient production processes.

Identify and specify tooling to support process optimisation.

Apply RCCA and problem-solving methodologies to production issues.

Contribute to continuous improvement, right-first-time culture, and manufacturing efficiency targets.

Support procurement, supply chain activities, and Make vs Buy assessments.

Liaise with tooling, facilities, and production engineering teams to enable robust manufacturing capability.
Essential Skills & Experience

Manufacturing or process engineering experience within assembly, automotive, or aerospace environments.

Ability to read, interpret, and critique manufacturing processes and instructions.

Strong attention to detail and structured approach to process review.

Experience creating or editing Process Instructions, ERPs setups, and routings.

Practical background in manufacturing assembly environments.

Experience with ERP/PLM systems and data setup.

Competent in identifying and implementing process improvements.

Experience using RCCA methodology.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Aerospace experience preferred but not essential.
