Job Description SummaryReporting to the Integrated Talent Leader (ITL) for Engineering (Eng), and indirectly to the SHRM for Eng, the Talent Strategy and Operations Leader will work closely with the HR team to help build an inclusive and modern talent operating system that enables the business to acquire, develop, engage and ultimately retain the best talent for today and tomorrow. This role will also support the Eng HR team on operations/data and lean efforts and process in support of organization and talent priorities. The Talent Strategy and Operations Leader will focus on strategy, design and delivery of broad organization development and talent development programs, initiatives and activities, that will enable the achievement of business goals. The Talent Strategy and Operations Leader interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services; utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support short-term and long-term priorities that enable Eng business objectives and Talent KPIs.  Establish mechanisms for tracking and action planning against key talent KPIs/metrics.  
  • Develop and track key metrics to measure impact of talent management programs and initiatives—drive a focus on standard, scalable metrics, and measures.
  • Coordinate talent operating cadences with Engineering HR leadership in support of achieving business objectives.
  • Partner on the identification, assessment and development of critical talent pools: early career, high potential, leadership pipeline – all with a focus on critical capability needs/gaps. Develop a deep understanding of key talent within the organization and promote talent mobility and talent sharing
  • Support and facilitate the succession planning and talent review process.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage data in HR talent and organization processes and decisions, partnering across with HR CoEs where needed.
  • Drive Lean principles and operating rigor and cadences relating to Talent Development process.     Partner with HR team to Identify and drive process standards and improvements related to Talent.
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence subject matter experts (including WE&I Workforce and Analytics team, HR operations, finance, Labor & Employment & Compliance), and leaders across the HR function to develop timely and strategic programs and processes.
  • Lead cross-functional global teams as required to implement key initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in related area (or a high school graduate/GED or equivalent with at least 10 years of relevant work experience)
  • Minimum 6 years prior professional work experience with demonstrated achievement in the HR function
  • Program / project management experience with large organization

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience supporting clients in a technology space
  • In-depth understanding of HR concepts and principles gained through formal education and work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in making strategic HR and talent decisions, assessing talent, and effectively interfacing with high-level business and operations leaders
  • Experience using data to drive organization and talent decisions; ability to craft an objective and insightful story through data and storytelling.
  • Developed (oral and written) communication and diplomacy skill set with the ability to influence others by presenting sound and logical arguments tailored to the audience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to assess situations make judgments based on practice or previous experience
  • Player-coach approach with ability to be both strategic and execution oriented
  • Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels with a genuine desire to assist others
  • Ability to work in changing environments, see through complexity and lead in a matrix goal driven organization
  • Demonstrated experience in promoting an inclusive and diverse workforce

Pay and Benefits:

  • The base pay range for this position is $152,300 - 253,800. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.  This posting is expected to close on February 23, 2024.
