Become part of an exciting directorate within the Digital Technology (EE&S) Organization.  The Digital Engineering pillar is seeking a Sr. Manager level Software Developer with a strong background in DevSecOps, Containerization and creating digital transformations. This position will serve as the focal subject matter expert in all aspects of our containerization journey in Digital Engineering with a focus on technical development and team growth alongside tool maturation.

** This individual can sit at any Collins domestic location or remote. **

What YOU will do:

  • You will be a focal for deployment using Kubernetes across our toolchain 

  • You will lead, design and implement our containerization efforts 

  • You will optimize existing deployments within our toolchain 

  • You will work efficiently across multiple scrum teams within the agile release train 

  • You will mentor, train and onboard future software developers 

  • You will be a self-starter, with the ability to problem solve, make decisions and work within a high performing team to support the Digital Engineering ecosystem 

  • You will use effective communication skills to keep our customers up to date on our development initiatives 

Qualifications you must have:

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required 

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

  • Experience with Kubernetes.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in all aspects of the software development product lifecycle 

  • Advanced experience with containerization and automation 

  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) 

  • Experience with GitLab, Git, Artifactory and Docker 

  • Experience in OOP languages, including scripting languages such as Python 

  • Experience with Agile development life cycle and best practices 

  • Experience with AWS/Azure cloud development and deployment

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
