The Enterprise Engineering Cybersecurity team is experiencing tremendous demand and is currently looking for a Senior Product Cybersecurity Engineering Manager to lead a shared services team of product security engineers. This role has direct responsibility for leadership and management of advancing product security of our systems during product lifecycle activities from initial concept and design, capturing of use cases and requirements, through hardware and software development, system integration, and finally through verification and certification. A candidate will be expected to lead a team that strives to enhance the security posture of our products to include our next generation aircraft communication and connectivity solutions for military and commercial customers.
A successful candidate will lead with energy throughout complex project activities. Building and growing the team is expected as work continues to increase in this dynamic area. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with program managers and product leadership teams across all business units within Collins Aerospace.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Attract, develop and retain product security engineers by building a strong team culture of inclusion, knowledge sharing and advancing the team’s product security skills and capabilities
Actively addresses employee performance and development
Assigns technical resources to work assignments
Oversees and participates in development of engineering bids to ensure success
Guides adherence to DO-326A/DO-356A Airworthiness Security process and/or Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodologies
Advises Value Stream Leaders for inclusion of security technologies in strategic product roadmaps
Supports advancement and adoption of Collins developed security technologies into new or existing products
Reviews and approves release of product security artifacts
Develops and presents on product security awareness and education training to employees
Fosters organizational adoption of the Secure System Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)
Actively participates in the Product Cybersecurity Management System (PCMS)
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience
7+ years of demonstrable leadership experience (e.g., managing projects and teams)
System or Software development background with embedded systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent understanding of security by design principles and layered defense concepts
Reviewing system and application vulnerability assessments and providing mitigations
Experience managing urgent and competing priorities
Experience with RTCA DO-326A / DO-356A and/or RMF methodologies
Industry recognized security certifications (Sec+, OSCP, CISSP)
