3rd shift Shipping Lead
Title: Shipping/Receiving Lead
Status: Hourly
Labor Grade: Shipping grade
Shift: 3rd
Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to the Area manager Rough Clean.
Location: Mentor / RP, OH
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and may be substituted by experience.
Personal Characteristics: Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/ quantity. Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record. Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving. Have strong sense of urgency. Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
Work Experience: Minimum of 2 year experience in a shipping & receiving environment handing outside vendor services including but not limited to coordination of shipments in and out of the building. Must be qualified and certified to operate a fork lift truck (training provided). Clerical/Computer ability required.
Principal Area of Responsibility: The outside services dock lead is responsible for:
Coordinate daily work flow through the outside services dock to balance staffing demands with operations in a 24/7 operation.
Coordinate with snag/fin/ndt supervisors for corrective actions and process improvements
Review document changes with all dock employees.
Specific Duties:
Responsible for maintaining clean and organized dock area
Oversee and perform daily ship clerk responsibilties as a working lead
Schedule/prioritize and expedite outside services
Coordinate shipping and trucking companies and prepare shipment paperwork, including Customs documentation
Track and provide PODs to customers/vendors
Maintain inventory of dock supplies - corrugated container/miscellaneous dock supplies
Maintain vehicle and schedule appropriate maintenance as needed
Monitor forklift daily checks and report any findings
Follow and enforce all safety rules
Attend production meetings as needed
Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned.

The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines.
Work environment includes a variety of climate conditions from pleasant to extreme depending on season
