What You Will Do:
The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for leading tactical business unit specific Operations within the North Berwick Aero Systems Site. The Senior Operations Manager is focused on the leadership of all salaried supervisors and hourly employees within the in the business unit organization, supporting military and commercial product families.
Lead across several key business objectives and drives success in key performance indicator categories such as, developing and implementing productivity improvements to yield cost reduction aligned with War on Cost objectives, manpower planning & cross training strategies to support program growth and attrition, and parts delivery.
Drive quality leadership, focused on first pass yield & process certification, and EH&S focus on ergonomic risk reduction & behavior based safety.
Coach supervisors and hourly employees with a continuous improvement mindset, leverages CORE methodologies to promote entrepreneurial and systemic ways of working.
Drive positive cultural change and continuous improvement across organization
Collaborate with Technical Supervisor, Shop Floor Control, Human Resources and other key support functions, to strategize and execute cross-functional business initiatives as needed.
Accountable for leading salaried supervisors to maintain standardization, fairness, and consistency, in upholding company policy and procedures.
Includes tasks prescribed by Business Unit Manager as required
What You Will Learn:
This position is essential to the overall success of the North Berwick Aero System Site and you will have the opportunity to refine and develop key leadership competencies along with an experience in a wide range of operational aspects of the business.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree with 10 or more years of experience in a manufacturing operations, program management, quality or closely related environment OR a Masters degree with 7 or more years of experience in a manufacturing operations, program management, quality or closely related environment
In absence of a degree, 14 or more years of experience in a manufacturing operations, program management, quality or closely related environment
Demonstrated leadership attributes and influencing business objectives
Knowledge and understanding of continuous Improvement principles (CORE, QCPC, etc.)
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Qualifications We Prefer:
Business degree
SAP, SOLUMINA and Shop Floor Work Flow (SFWF) experience
Understanding of the QN system and required actions
Experience in a team lead/supervisory/managerial capacity

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
