Responsibilities

Duties: Accountable from start to completion of project goals, objectives and budgets to develop new and improved products. Be a technical consultant for component and system problems for internal and external customers. Coordinate and communicate with material suppliers on new materials or processes applicable to new products. Identify new product and spanet opportunities through various avenues such as outside consultants, trade shows and customer visits and industry surveys. Align internal divisions and outside suppliers to ensure that support for Master timing, test and validation plans, prototype needs and budgetary constraints are agreed and met. Serve as prime point of contact for customer interface and status on new products being developed for alternative spanets. Leads the project team to achieve its chartered purpose and desired outcomes. Creates and tracks the master gantt for the entire program; ensures all deliverables and milestones are met per customer request. Creates and tracks the open issues list for the entire program. Hold weekly and biweekly meetings as necessary. Establishes supply chain. Ensures team participation and tracks to meet budgeted cost targets per plan. Create, establish and ensure that the system and component validation test plans (DVP&R) are met and that the end product meets or exceeds customer expectations as outlined in customer value proposition. Ensures that all supporting divisions meet their component and validation targets and dates. Hold stage gate reviews per master time plan. Encourages participation. Ensure that all concerned are appropriately involved. Create a stable working environment. Clarifies the decision-making process and tracks action items to closure. Plan and track the project team effort; achieves BETA milestones. Position requires 20 domestic travel.

Qualifications

Requirements: Bachelor degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related engineering field and six (6) months of experience as a Process/Automation Engineer, Engineering Intern, President, or related occupation where experience was gained. Also requires six months of experience in the following:

 

  • Manufacturing and production engineering theories, principles, practices, techniques and concepts;

  • Legal and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing operations;

  • Direct operations experience in understanding leading manufacturing and production engineering theories, principles, practices, techniques and concepts;

  • Microsoft Project and/or Smart Sheet, Power BI dashboard development, Sales Force pipeline management (forecasting);

  • New product development (NPD), new product blueprinting (NPB), phase gate commercialization such as Parker’s Winnovation; leading and influencing global cross-functional teams, management of internal and external customer requirements; and

  • Connectors Product Families such as Universal Quick Disconnect, Large Couplings, EPDM Hose, Car sticks, Ball and Butterfly Valves, Manifolds, and Tubing.
