Morson Edge are recruiting for an experienced Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) Bay Supervisor to support aircraft maintenance operations at Dukhan Airbase, Qatar. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled NDI professional with strong leadership experience to work in a highly regulated aviation environment.

Reporting to the Mechanical Workshop Controller, the successful candidate will supervise and undertake detailed NDI inspection activities on aircraft and associated components, ensuring airworthiness, compliance, and delivery targets are achieved.

• Undertake detailed NDI inspection and diagnostic activities on aircraft and ground support equipment components

• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with approved work packages, technical data, and regulatory requirements

• Supervise, allocate, and authorise tasks within the NDI Bay, ensuring staff competence and approvals are maintained

• Maintain personal and team task authorisations in line with Part 145, AMC, MOE, and QAF requirements

• Meet agreed short- and medium-term delivery targets through effective supervision and planning

• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to NDI personnel, including performance reviews and on-the-job training

• Maintain accurate airworthiness records and documentation across relevant systems

• Carry out fault evaluation and raise ad-hoc work cards for defects identified during maintenance

• Maintain personal logbooks and, where authorised, assess and approve personnel competency and task authorisations

• Support audits, assurance activities, tooling and test equipment control, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Promote a strong safety culture, applying human factors, risk management, and safety assurance principles

• Effective management of regulatory and maintenance activities

• Monitoring performance indicators and implementing improvement actions

• Assessing and escalating issues impacting continuing airworthiness

• Supporting internal and external audits and timely closure of findings

• Ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, legislative, and contractual requirements

• EN4179 / NAS 410 Level 2 NDI qualifications in:

  • Penetrant Testing (PT)

  • Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT)

  • Eddy Current Testing (ET)

  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

  • Radiographic Testing (RT)

• Logged experience hours for each NDI discipline

• Strong technical knowledge within NDI and aircraft maintenance environments

• Proven supervisory or leadership experience

• Sound understanding of Part 145 and continuing airworthiness regulations

• Experience working with Maintenance Expositions and mandated procedures

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills

• Flexible, proactive approach with a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
