About the role

In this role, you will oversee all aspects of data analysis, management, and governance for our airline’s Cargo data and analytics team. Driving development of advanced analytics solutions and implementing data-driven insights across the organization.

Additionally, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive data analytics.

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

• Manage a team of managers and data analysts and engineers to design, develop, and implement advanced analytics solutions as well as work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and identify opportunities to leverage data to drive business decisions.
• Ensure development and implementation of data management, governance, and quality standards across the organization.
• Oversee the implementation of ETL processes, data models, and data pipelines to ensure data is clean, accurate, and available.
• Lead the design and development of new analytical capabilities and models and enhance existing ones for the portfolio of competence in order to facilitate effective and efficient analysis
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure the team is up-to-date with the latest analytical and data management techniques.
• Ensure effective training programs are implemented, both face-to-face and virtual targeting the whole commercial departments aiming at upgrade analytical and technical skills of the organization.
• Ensure security access and licenses for visualization tools is managed properly by the team in coordination with IT in order to ensure proper data access in line with company security standards.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field
• At least 7 years of experience in data analysis, with 3+ years of experience in a management role
• Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills with solid knowledge of analytic techniques and business analysis concepts
• Knowledge of visualisation tools such as Tableau, Qlik and Microsoft Power BI
• Excellent spoken and written English skills with strong negotiation, presentation and influencing capabilities
• Leadership and strategic thinking capabilities, with a proven ability to lead cross functional and multi-cultural teams in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to nontechnical stakeholders
