We believe that inclusion helps us thrive and grow at United across our collaborative Finance teams consisting of Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Audit, Treasury, Global Procurement, Controllership, Investor Relations and more. These teams provide the financial fuel that keeps our operation running from providing detailed analyses of financial planning, performance, and forecasts to managing our investments and financial strategies. Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.
Key Responsibilities: The Global Procurement organization at United Airlines is responsible for procuring goods and services and developing/managing relationships with third-party providers with the objective of reducing total cost and risk to the company while improving levels of quality, service, and technology.
The Manager – Contract Management supports United’s Global Procurement team by successfully overseeing the lifecycle of procurement contracts. This individual will oversee the negotiation of contracts and liaise with partners to ensure timely and compliant execution. The Manager- Contract Management will ensure contracts and documentation are organized and uploaded and may implement automation where needed.
- Oversee the reading and negotiating of procurement contracts, including oversight of the drafting, review, and revision process across the enterprise, to meet company objectives and legal requirements.
- Work with business teams to establish appropriate timelines.
- Communicate and resolve procurement-related issues including delays, discrepancies, or contract concerns.
- Oversee supplier risk management and monitor contract compliance across all contracts and actively lead procurement risk, including routine enhancements to agreements, communication of demand/volume changes, updating contracts and sharing end-user feedback.
- Ensure alignment, anticipate changes, and drive activities based on supply market changes and recommendations of task forces.
- Oversee business relationships with key internal partners and external suppliers. Develop and maintain relationships with internal partners including Division Leads, Operational Field Team, Legal, IT Security, Tax and Risk Management.
- Promotes co-operation and communication between internal partners across participating entities.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, communication, and contract details in a shareable format.
- Lead contract expirations and renewals, ensuring timely renewals or renegotiations.
- Lead and/or mentor team, provide guidance and valuable input on all mentioned responsibilities.
- Train and develop individuals and all team members on spend data analysis and relevant tools. Provide support, partnership and direction to team members,

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): - Bachelor’s degree in finance, Legal, Supply Chain, or another business-related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Analytics, legal analysis, and/or Finance (or equivalent)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to partner.
- Extensive planning and project management proficiency
- Deep contracts and category knowledge; solid understanding of supplier economics
- Strong internal and external negotiation and influencing skills; demonstrated ability to make tough decisions.
- Ability to build strong and effective working relationships with internal business partners and suppliers
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):- Prior paralegal experience
- Masters degree and/or MBA
- Successful, multi-year track record in Procurement
- CPM ( Certified Purchasing Manager)
- Knowledge of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) concepts and strategic procurement process.
- Experience with Coupa or other Procurement/Spend Management platforms.
- Ability to act as a change agent who seeks out and advocates for new and innovative solutions to meet business needs
