POSITION PURPOSE
Develops and manages the initial development and enhancements of the AQP within the Inflight department. Supports and reviews policies and procedures contained in Inflight manuals to ensure they meet regulations and interface with other company and departmental policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Maintains a full understanding of FAA regulations pertaining to the Inflight AQP.
  • Coordinates Initial development and continued enhancements of the Inflight AQP.
  • Prepares and delivers the Inflight AQP Annual Report.
  • Effectively collaborates with the FAA.
  • Owns and manages the content of the AQP Manual.     
  • Coordinates with operations and training management in the development, maintenance and review of Inflight policies, procedures and standards.
  • Collects and analyzes data on Flight Attendant compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates with SMEs to update information and ensure standardization within Inflight manuals.
  • Reviews data obtained through support rides, line flying, SMS and the Aviation Safety Action Program to utilize in program development of the Inflight AQP.
  • Interfaces with the FAA Certificate Holding District Office.
  • Has the ability to complete Flight Attendant training and maintains qualifications by successfully completing all Company required training. 
  • Maintains currency of Inflight guides and manuals.  
  • Fosters the Company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment.
  • Provides coaching, and technical leadership to team and department members. 
  • Leads through example; monitors, influences and trains others. 
  • Provides input to supervisor on performance reviews and helps to identify development needs.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned or required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED with at least year of aviation experience. 
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local rules and regulations in regard to Inflight and airline operations.
  • Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of Advisory Circular 120-54A and FAR Subpart Y
  • Inflight training content development experience
  • AQP Development experience
  • Working knowledge of FARs and Advisory Circulars
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Science, Management, or related area.
  • Experience in people leadership or team coordination/management, project management skills, and technology.
  • Previous Aviation experience  
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Able to communicate and work effectively with all levels of management and associates.
  • Capable of effectively coordinating multiple projects at the same time while meeting deadlines.
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Must not have tattoos visible while in uniform.
  • Must not have multiple piercings visible while in uniform.

REGULATORY

Able to pass an FAA required 10-year work history review and pass criminal background and fingerprint checks.  Possess and maintain a valid US passport or foreign passport.  Authorized by law to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.  Willing to submit to and pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write and
update moderately complex manuals and other correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to management, customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.

REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

DECISION MAKING

Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction.  Decisions often require some thought and are somewhat structured.  Decisions tend to be short term and usually moderate cost.  Able to process information quickly and react in a positive manner during unexpected and/or serious situations.  Capable of controlling personal and emotional responses and acting appropriately under high levels of stress.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Should possess the physical strength to reach and operate all emergency equipment and exits using necessary movements and force up to and including 70 pounds.

Capable of lifting objects up to 35 pounds.

Able to push or pull moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.

Must be able to stoop and crouch, climb and kneel.

Has the ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts.

Able to hear verbal communications in person and over airplane communication systems.

Must be able to sit in assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without any modifications.

Must be able to move about aircraft and perform all required functions freely, effectively and quickly in confined environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Willing and able to work a varied schedule to meet operational needs.

 TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Able to travel up to 40 of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays and overnight travel.
