This position is for a Business Manager role for a program family within the Advanced Electro-Optical and Infrared (EO/IR) Systems (AES) product area under the Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) BU. This onsite role will support the Advanced Tactical Pods & Niagara Falls franchises, which consist of various programs with sizeable investments and both development and production activity. This position is an integral part of guiding and partnering with the functional leadership teams, CAMs/IPTLs, and program office. Excellent communication skills are required to effectively collaborate cross-functionally and provide actionable plans for success. This high exposure role requires a broad background of program finance to operate self-sufficiently, solve complex, unique situations, and influence a broad spectrum of key program members and stakeholders. The criticality of this program and its investments for the success of the franchise, and future business opportunities, allows for the opportunity to interact with leadership across the AES & APS businesses.
What you Will Do
- Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to accurate, timely financial and EVMS analysis and forecasting, daily communication, interaction, and partnering with Program Management, CAMs/IPTLs to provide personal involvement in the effective planning and implementation of various projects.
- Additional responsibilities include financial planning (short and long range), variance analysis, data validation and reporting, Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) development, supporting proposal development, and customer negotiations.
- You will be responsible for regularly identifying and assessing risks with the potential to impact cost and/or schedule and for providing proactive analysis of all financial aspects of the assigned projects.
- You will be able to work in a challenging, exciting work environment, be a results-minded team member and possess excellent self-initiative and multi-tasking skills.
- In addition, we are looking for the ability to provide thorough critical thinking support while meeting critical deadlines, and support process improvement
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires: A Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline. or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
- Experience guiding cross-functional teams and navigating competing priorities.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing Estimates at Completion (EACs).
- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
- Experience with and knowledge of APEX/PRISM EV.
- Proposals/negotiations experience.
- Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), including short and long range planning.
- Must have ability to obtain Secret Security clearance and Special Access Programs (SAPs).
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Government contractor industry experience with knowledge of both government accounting (FAR, CAS) and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance processes.
- Ability to meet critical deadlines and develop applied solutions and process improvements.
- Excellent organizational skills in time management.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proactive with demonstrated ability to creatively problem solve.
- Working knowledge of APEX, PRISM, and BW Reporting.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
