As Facilities & Maintenance Manager, you will lead the end-to-end management of dnata Cargo’s physical infrastructure and assets across all operational locations. This role ensures the reliability, efficiency, and future readiness of warehouses, utilities, and civil infrastructure through structured maintenance, intelligent design, and long-term asset planning.
Facilities management within dnata Cargo requires specialised technical expertise distinct from operational and project functions, with a strong focus on uptime, reliability, and lifecycle optimisation. This is a full-time role and is based in our Dubai office.
In this role, you will:
- Ensure full operational uptime of warehouses, utilities, and supporting infrastructure across all cargo locations.
- Establish and enforce robust preventive and corrective maintenance frameworks to minimise downtime and operational disruption.
- Drive continuous improvement in asset performance, reliability, and resilience.
- Lead full asset lifecycle management — from acquisition and commissioning to utilisation tracking and disposal
- Develop data-driven strategies for asset optimisation and reliability enhancement.
- Collaborate with technical teams (e.g., dnata Technical Services) on upgrades, repairs, and system improvements.
- Oversee design and simulation of new warehouse and office facilities, ensuring alignment with business growth and operational requirements.
- Drive layout optimisation, capacity planning, and process efficiency through advanced modelling and simulations.
- Manage all facilities-related administration including airport passes, office consumables, and operational support services.
- Ensure seamless support to operations through efficient facilities management practices.
QualificationTo be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Honors in Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in facilities development and maintenance with experience in large industrial warehouse/ Cargo Facility warehouse.
- Strong understanding of cargo planning and cargo terminal operability.
- Strong Project Management and Facility/ Warehouse Management experience.
- Knowledge in Customer SLAs and policies (dnata, Emirates and dnata Cargo).
- Advanced knowledge in cargo handling systems, equipment and computer applications.
- Advanced understanding of Cargo Regulatory requirements and Freight regulations.
You will have an edge, if you have:
- Industrial or Civil Engineering background.
- Construction Management Experience.
- Cargo master planning, warehouse design, layout planning or engineering simulations.
- Knowledge of a variety of project management methodologies and practices.
- Strong expertise in facilities management, infrastructure, or asset reliability within logistics/industrial environments.
- Proven ability to drive high uptime, maintenance excellence, and lifecycle optimisation.
- Leadership capability to manage multidisciplinary technical teams.
