The role: Cyber Threat and Risk Manager

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a team of Leads and Analysts to understand our threat and risk profile across BA
  • Responsible for detailed, quantitative and qualitative analysis of cyber risk using known frameworks like NIST and ISO27005
  • Effectively communicate, reason and influence stakeholders across BA to promote the understanding of cyber risk and promote it’s use in prioritisation and decision making
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise on cyber risk and threat to BA, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Responsible for detailed cyber threat assessment of BA’s environment using various modelling techniques such as STRIDE, PASTA, attack tress and abuse cases.
  • Using various resources and intelligence feeds, stay up to date on the current cyber threats that BA faces
  • Creating and disseminating strategic and operational CTI products for a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation
  • Supporting the Cyber Incident team with operational and tactical CTI, creating an established feedback loop into other areas within cyber
  • Support the Cyber Incident team in cyber incident response activities
  • Participate in cyber on-call for cyber incident response

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

  • Demonstrates clear leadership and an ability to communicate, influence and persuade across the organisation at senior levels, leading by example and aligning stakeholder groups around a common vision.
  • Ability to recognize priorities, remain calm and guide their team towards the accomplishment of strategic business goals and objectives.
  • Highly analytical, demonstrating a methodical and structured approach with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communicator, taking complex technical issues and making them approachable to all stakeholders
  • Ability to interpret highly technical resources and through analysis produce quality intelligence assets

Your experience:

  • Relevant cyber risk and threat qualifications/ certifications e.g. CRISC, CISSP, SANS GIAC (FOR308, FOR508)
  • Demonstrable experience using at least two cyber risk and threat assessment methodologies
  • Experience in the use of MITRE ATT&CK
  • Experience of managing cyber incidents in large and complex organisations
