Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)Objective:Responsible for all operations (Fabrication & Assembly) related functions dealing with product quality, on time delivery, and employee safety. Also responsible for, manufacturing, scheduling, quality of products, budgeting, costs and gross profit, employee development and processes improvement. This position will operate under the general supervision of the Sr. Operations Director.2. Main Function Responsibilities:A)Ensures a safe workplace for employees.B)Responsible for ensuring we have a clean facility that is always available for customer walks.C)Ensures that the product shipped from Safran Seats USA meets quality expectations and standards.D)Responsible for schedule adherence.E)Prepare monthly manufacturing man load requirement and annual departmental budget based on sales forecast.F)In the absence of the Sr. Director of Operations, manages the managers and supervisors in each department and helps them plan out tasks.G)Involved in implementation of JIT/TQCM manufacturing techniques as well as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Principles.H)Responsible for all excess parts found on floor to return to stock rooms.I)Ensures performance measurements are monitored and plans are put in place to improve performance.J)Responsible for professional development and identification of training required for supervisors and manager.K)Conducts manufacturing meetings, reporting on daily, weekly, and monthly schedules using charts which are to be updated daily.L)Reports project status and implements recovery plans as required.M)Participate in the recruiting of professional managers/cell leaders.N)Collects, interprets, acts upon and reports key assembly statistical data and NCs, RCCAs.O)Works with quality management to correct quality problems which are identified with products in the field
Job Requirements:

P)Identifies and makes corrective actions which result in scrap reduction cost which occurs monthly in assembly.Q)Ensures proper communications with support groups (Supply Chain, QA, Logisitics, Manufacturing Engineering) dealing with schedule changes or special shift support needs.R)Interfaces with all departments to ensure proper information is available to support the job.S)Responsible for adherence to union contract requirements.T)Responsible for adherence to FAA and OSHA requirements.U)Initiates and continuously improves internal quality programs to improve the final product and reduce product variance.V)Performs other duties as assigned3. Qualification RequirementsA. Education & Qualification• . Bachelor degree in Business, Manufatcuring Engineering, Supply Chain/Logisitics or 6 years of related Operations experience in lieu of degree •Professional Qualifications: PMP certification preferredB. Work Experience - Technical knowledge-•3 years experience in aerospace industry or equivalent•ISO Quality Systems, ERP,preferred.•English - proficient level, C. Professional Skills-•Communications: Ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English,•Require complete knowledge of all phases of manufacturing preferably in an aerospace industry.•Must be an effective communicator, motivator and a leader.•Must be able to train managers/cell leaders to be effective leaders by using manufacturing cells concept.•Require good background in finance.•Require knowledge of production control methods including MRP.•Understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques/cells conceptD.
