Reports to: Head of IT Solutions - Subsidiaries
Join Cathay as our Application Manager to oversee our cargo terminal operations under Subsidiaries Solution Centre. You will be accountable for managing and developing a portfolio of business applications for our cargo terminals operations. You need to oversees the full lifecycle of applications, ensuring they support business needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for developing the IT investment plan for cargo terminal operations
- Drive prioritization, primarily for business units supported by cargo terminal operations
- Collaborate with architecture teams to optimize technology use
- Establish and promote the right mix of practices (such as DevSecOps, CD/CI, Scrum etc.) to the team to improve the team efficiency and productivity
- Own and drive the major blueprints in your domain to continuously deliver the competitive advantages to the Cathay
- Develop and maintain knowledge of key systems and technologies utilized in your domain
- Keep abreast of the technology roadmaps for the applications with your domain and how upgrades and updates can benefit the enterprise
- Manage vendors in the delivery of cost effective and timely systems development and support
- Accountable for application delivery within agreed budgets
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of IT experience, including 2 years in management level
- Tertiary qualification is a must
- Proven experience managing development team and hands-on experience in solution delivery
- Experience in Cargo operations or Cargo Terminal operations are highly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and team dynamics skills
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Experience in business analysis, software development, and project management
- Understanding of technology concepts, trends, and capabilities
- Ability to develop and manage a team for excellent performance
