JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Project Manager
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Director of Base Maintenance
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Reviewing the training records of his/her subordinates to identify any deficiencies that require additional training.
- Scheduling the workflow with other departments as needed to ensure that the aircraft stays on schedule.
- Proper handling of all parts while in the repair process. This includes storage, control, segregation, and identification of all articles removed from or awaiting installation on an aircraft.
- Scheduling maintenance personnel staffing for each customer visit, thus ensuring a quality product is delivered to the customer in a timely manner.
- Mutilating parts in accordance with the scrap materials program.
- Requesting additional manpower, equipment, and technical data needed to complete a customer aircraft in a timely manner.
- Tracking man-hours on each customer visit and directly oversee budgets and estimates.
- Reviewing completed paperwork for proper documentation and signatures.
The duties and responsibilities of the Project Manager may be delegated to any qualified assistant; however, such delegation does not relieve the Project Manager of the overall responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate some college and/or technical school desirable. A&P license required. Must be certified under 14 CFR Part 65. Minimum of 20 years Heavy Turbine powered aircraft maintenance required. Experience on Boeing equipment is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff.
