Description:What You Will Be Doing
This position will be based out Spangdahlem AB, Germany. Ability to obtain and maintain a passport and obtain military base access is required. Job duties include but are not limited to:

- Heavy Depot Level Maintenance, Repair and modification of the F-16 aircraft structure and major subassemblys. Plan, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair various sheet metal and structural assemblies and sub-assemblies utilizing precision measuring equipment.

- Must be able to read and speak English. Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

- The candidate will be exposed to repetitive movements and work overhead. The candidate will be required to use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed to perform job tasks. The employee is regularly exposed to vibration. The candidate will be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles.

- The candidate must be able to properly use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials, and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The candidate is required to work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.

Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must be high school graduate or equivalent

- Candidate must have been awarded a 7-Skill level in USAF Acft Maintenance AFSC or an equivalent Airframe and Power plant FAA certificate

- Candidate must have recent F-16 experience to meet the one of the following qualifications to qualify for German NATO SOFA:
- Bachelors Degree with 3 yrs.
- Associates Degree with 7 yrs.
- No degree with 11 yrs.

- The above requirements are mandated by the German Govt for NATO SOFA status. If candidate are using either Associates or Bachelor’s degree, they must be able to provide proof for verification.

- Assignment to Germany is contingent upon being granted NATO SOFA approval from the German Authorities.

- This position is an unaccompanied assignment. If NATO SOFA status is approved, selected individual(s) might be able to bring spouse at their expense

- Must be willing to cover other shifts, if needed, as determined by site supervisor.

- Granted Secret Security Clearance preferable
Desired Skills:
- F16 Nose to Tail experience in either Structures or Crew Chief career fields

- Prior Aircraft Modification and Maintenance Experience

- Microsoft Office Suite Skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
