Partners with Production teams in the manufacture of high-quality aircraft parts & assemblies per Piper Drawings, Process Specifications (PPS) and other manufacturing instructions. Assists in meeting or exceeding planned production and delivery schedules while maximizing company resources to achieve company goals. Essential Job Functions: Performs or assists the production and inspection teams with the following requirements: Work as assigned to ensure department targets are met for OFD, Quality and Safety Partner with area leadership to assist in training and awareness exercises Perform complex inspections on parts and assemblies using advanced measuring systems such as FARO arm and laser tracking Perform tool verifications, recycles and recertification Understand and able to interpret FAA regulatory requirements Work with support groups to recommend change based on data collected and salvageability of parts and assemblies where applicable Able to generate complex and detailed reports to support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives Generate trend tracking data where applicable to drive problem solving and waste reduction initiatives Participate in efforts to resolve quality concerns in a timely and cost-effective manner. Assist with performing Material Review Board activities and standard repairs. Support continuous improvement efforts to improve the team’s performance including schedule delivery, reduction of late work, elimination of quality defects & scrap, increasing productivity and generating cost reductions. Support FAA and internal audit activities Train and assist other team members Assist with all Safety, Environmental Protection, FOD and Tool Control, 5S and other assigned program requirements.
