Job Description:
Position Purpose:
• Under direct supervision of the Mechanical Team Lead or Senior Technician, assist with the inspection,
maintenance, and repair of customer aircraft.
• Gain knowledge of Clients aircraft, internal procedures for work completion, quality control, and
collaboration across multiple shops to meet production goals.
Essential Functions:
• Gain experience in the inspection and maintenance of various Clients aircraft systems, including:
• Airframe structural, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, landing gear, flight controls, rigging, engines, conditioned
air, anti-ice, and other subsystems.
• Effectively use technical reference resources (e.g., maintenance and repair manuals, wiring diagrams,
vendor and manufacturer communications) to identify correct part numbers, procedures, and materials.
• Coordinate with the Inspection department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and
documentation requirements:
• Properly complete parts change sheets, work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork in a
timely manner.
• Ensure that work meets FAA requirements, customer specifications, and Clients quality standards.
• Properly identify and tag customer property and equipment:
• Securely and safely store aircraft components and other customer property to prevent damage.
• Safely operate ground support equipment, including:
• External power carts, hydraulic mules, hydraulic lift platforms, tow tugs, forklifts, compressed gas
cylinders, etc.
• Assist Line Service with aircraft movement and servicing:
• Ensure that parts racks and cages remain near their respective aircraft.
Additional Functions:
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Enrollment in an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license program is preferred.
• Essential communication skills, including:
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Good listening skills and proficiency with computer keyboards.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience with civil or military aircraft avionics systems and/or installation is helpful.
Other Requirements:
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Enrollment in an Airframe & Powerplant license program is preferred.
