Join a dynamic team dedicated to building and assembling metal components for aerospace structures. You will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and ensuring structural integrity..

Responsibilities

• Perform Class A welds; cut, trim, fit, and fabricate metal components to specifications.
• Collaborate with lead welder to determine appropriate weld procedures, materials, and rod sizes.
• Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan and execute welding operations.
• Continuously seek to improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and streamline processes.
• Communicate effectively with management, engineering staff, and planners to enhance build efficiency.
• Modify, repair, assemble, and install launch vehicles.
• Check completed work against drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.
• Install and assemble custom and off-the-shelf tooling and machinery for building primary tank structures.
• Set up safety equipment and work platforms at elevation.
• Operate general shop equipment and vehicles such as forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in tube cutting, grinding, and fabrication.
• Experience in Class A welds and certifications with AWS D17.1 and D1.2.
• Knowledge in DC welding techniques and engineering requirements.
• Familiarity with standard tools, materials, and practices of the welding trade.
• Understanding of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Experience using overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Dallas,TX.
