Morson Edge are recruiting for an experienced Off-Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Weapons) to support a major Typhoon weapons support programme at RAF Coningsby. The role is based within the Off-Aircraft Weapons Maintenance Bays and focuses on the maintenance, repair, and testing of Aircraft Role Equipment to ensure airworthy and compliant outputs.
This position operates within a governed and regulated MRP Part 145 approved organisation and is well suited to an experienced Aircraft Armament / Weapons Technician with a strong safety mindset and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain, repair, and test Aircraft Role Equipment in accordance with approved technical data and regulatory requirements

Ensure all Part 145 maintenance activities are accurately documented, maintaining airworthiness records across IT and paper-based systems

Meet delivery targets and understand how individual performance contributes to continuing airworthiness

Maintain personal task competencies to support workshop capability and resilience

Comply with the Part 145 MOE, associated procedures, and applicable organisational standards

Apply Human Factors, Error Management, and Safety Management System principles to all maintenance activities

Diagnose faults, follow structured diagnostic procedures, and support less experienced team members where required

Support regulatory-driven changes, audits, and assurance activities

Actively contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance workshop performance
Essential Skills & Experience

Minimum 2 years’ experience within a MRP Part 145 Component Maintenance Organisation in the last 5 years

Experienced and competent Aircraft Armament / Weapons Technician

Strong understanding of Continuing Airworthiness and Part 145 regulatory requirements

Ability to work independently using approved technical instructions and maintenance data

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Confident IT user, including MS Office and maintenance recording systems

Flexible, proactive, and team-oriented approach

Be able to obtain SC Clearance
Desirable Experience
-
Previous experience working on Typhoon components or role equipment

Experience using Maintenix or similar maintenance recording systems

Familiarity with IMS, ESS, and Certificates of Component Release
