As a Mechanical Project Engineer 1 here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for managing and executing mechanical engineering projects to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers. Your expertise in mechanical design and project management will be crucial in ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. You will report directly to our Mechanical Project Engineering Manager and youll work out of our Mason, OH location on a hybrid work schedule. Note: New Hires will report onsite M-F for the first 90 days.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on the success of our projects by leading the mechanical design process, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of innovative and reliable solutions. Your ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources will be essential in meeting customer requirements and driving customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from initiation to completion
  • Oversee the mechanical design process and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute project scope
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure necessary materials and components
  • Conduct testing and validation of mechanical systems and components

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software and other design tools
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

WE VALUE

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Experience in the industrial automation industry
  • Experience with Conveyor MHE systems
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Familiarity with OSHA and CEMA standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
