Position Overview
The Maintenance Crew Lead is responsible for leading a team of Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with FAA, OEM, and company standards. This role oversees daily workflow, assigns tasks, provides technical guidance, and ensures aircraft are returned to service on time while upholding FlyExclusive’s high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
Lead, mentor, and supervise maintenance technicians during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Assign daily tasks based on skill level, labor hours, and aircraft priorities.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, work instructions, and company procedures.
Conduct pre-shift meetings, progress updates, and end-of-day shift reporting.
Technical Maintenance Duties
Oversee inspection, repair, troubleshooting, and component replacement on FlyExclusive aircraft.
Provide hands-on support when needed to maintain workflow and aircraft schedules.
Review and validate completed work for accuracy, compliance, and documentation integrity.
Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials.
Coordination & Communication
Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Parts departments.
Communicate aircraft status updates, manpower needs, and potential delays.
Interpret technical manuals, AMMs, engineering documents, and service bulletins.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all maintenance actions meet FAA regulations and FlyExclusive standards.
Complete and review logbook entries, work cards, and maintenance records.
Support internal and external audits when required.
Qualifications
5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience; Part 135 or Part 145 experience preferred.
Previous leadership or lead technician experience strongly preferred.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
Ability to read and interpret technical data, drawings, and manuals.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Aircraft Experience

Work Environment
Fast-paced MRO environment supporting charter and corporate fleet operations.
Must be able to work various shifts as required to support operational demand.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in hangar/flight line conditions.
