Job Description:
Overview
This position serves the company as a focal point in coordinating all in-service maintenance problems.
Responsibilities
- Perform stores activities including receiving, binning, shipping, and issuing of aircraft parts, as requested by manager.
- Debrief flight crew concerning maintenance issues to determine the proper action required
- Evaluates maintenance discrepancies and coordinates with Maintenance Control or the appropriate departments to accomplish a prompt resolution to the problem
- Assigns mechanics, contractors, and related personnel in accordance with requirements
- Performs required aircraft maintenance as needed, based on available expertise, manpower and time constraints
- Coordinates with Maintenance Control to ensure that all required aircraft maintenance items are addressed in accordance with the Operators and FAA requirements
- Provides briefing to flight crews as to maintenance accomplished and status of deferred items prior to aircraft departure
- Ensures all essential documentation is completed, faxed and forwarded to the necessary departments in a timely manner.
- Familiarizes himself/herself with provisions in company and manufacturer maintenance manuals
- Identifies and accomplishes other duties or responsibilities assigned by their supervisor
- Represents Maintenance Department on board Company scheduled and charter flight
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Must hold a current A&P license
- Must be flexible to work ANY shift that is assigned to you within a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation which can include late nights, early hours, weekends and holiday
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and able to acquire airport security clearance.
- Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
