Job Description
- We are seeking former Military Personnel who have a signed 8610-2 application from a FSDO to join our team as Aircraft Mechanics.
- This is a contract to direct hire opportunity where candidates will undergo a comprehensive onboarding process, including a 6-week A&P training crash course, culminating in testing for their A&P license.
- Classes begin June 2, 2025
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance on various passenger aircraft.
- Conduct routine maintenance and airworthiness releases, ensuring aircraft are safe and properly documented.
- Service, inspect, and maintain aircraft, engines, and associated components to meet deadlines and performance goals.
- Troubleshoot systems, disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components according to approved technical data.
- Ensure all departing aircraft comply with FARs and manufacturer manuals.
- Tools may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Approved 8610-2 application signed by FSDO.
- Experience as Fixed Wing, Crew Chief, or Leadership roles in the military.
- Ability to operate equipment and read technical information.
Pay
- During the 6-week crash course - $30/hr + additional per diem
- After licensed, pay is increased based off years of experience.
- Sign-On Bonus (Once you convert to direct employee):
- Less than 5 years’ experience: $2500
- Over 5 years’ experience: $5000
Duration
- 6 Week accelerated program in person at Wichita State University Technical College
- Once licensed: 2-year commit to company
