Samaritan's Purse is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technician to join our Mission Aviation Services team in Greensboro, NC. As an Aviation Maintenance Technician, you will perform aircraft maintenance and inspections that meet or exceed Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements and will serve as a flight mechanic on trips when required. A Day in the Life of an Aviation Maintenance Technician:

In the role of Aviation Maintenance Technician, you will have the opportunity to: 

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
• Maintain Samaritan's Purse aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), using industry best practices and adhering to ministry standards. 
• Perform preflight and post-flight inspections.
• Travel with the aircraft as needed as a crewmember, and perform duties associated with the mission. 
• Perform line service duties, including refueling and cleaning the interior / exterior of the aircraft.
• Assist in maintaining hangar facilities to meet the highest possible standards of safety and appearance.
• Tow and secure company aircraft as directed. 
• Assist with loading and unloading of the aircraft at home base and at en-route destinations. 
• Operate aircraft ground and loading equipment as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and at least four (4) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ten (10) years of industry aircraft maintenance experience maintaining turbine/jet-powered aircraft, preferably in the transport category. 
• Current FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certificate required.
• CFM56, RB211, or similar engine experience is strongly preferred.
• Inspection Authorization is preferred.
• 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, the opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.

Travel Expectations: This position requires travel of approximately 60-90 days a year, subject to the ministry's global response needs. Maintaining required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary.
