Aircraft Structural Technician

Job Description

The contractor will work on an aircraft conversion program and heavy maintenance, primarily focusing on Q400 conversion to aerial firefighting. Responsibilities include basic structural work, repairing and maintaining tears/cracks in the structural body of the Q400, corrosion repair, riveting, and overhaul of components. The role involves fixed-wing work and may require working in other divisions and facilities.

Requirements:

• Structures experience (3+ years)
• Versatile experience in heavy and line maintenance (majority heavy)
• Must have MRO experience (2-3 years)
• Q400 experience (asset)
• Basic tools

This is a Contract position with a duration of 5 Month(s) with option to extend longer term

Work Site

This is an on-site position located in Abbotsford, British Columbia.

Compensation

-$40 to $55 based on experience (unlicensed/licensed)

-Flights for out of Province candidates

Work Environment

Working with the team leader and manager to get the aircraft functioning. Must bring basic tooling. The contract duration is a minimum of 5 months but shorter terms can be considered. The shift is Monday to Friday with 10-hour days, typically from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional overtime on Saturdays. Full-time hours or 8-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm are required.
