Contract Length: 12 months (opportunity for extension)

Summary:
Performs structural assembly operations in a production environment under moderate supervision.
Responsibilities include assembly, fitting, drilling, riveting, and inspecting parts and structures to meet FAA standards and customer specifications. The role also involves maintaining work records, adhering to safety practices, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED.
1+ year of related structural assembly experience.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets.
Basic knowledge of aircraft structures, sheet metal, and fabrication processes.
Proficiency with tools such as riveting guns, pneumatic drills, and countersinks.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet quality standards.
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and work in confined spaces or any shift.
Basic shop math and computer skills.
Proficient in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication).
Desired Skills:
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam software.
Completion of Savannah Tech Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program (1-year experience credit).
Familiarity with composite resins and materials.
Understanding of Lean principles and participation in process improvement activities.
Professional attitude, teamwork skills, and aptitude for hands-on craftwork.
