Position Overview
FlyExclusive is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Technician to support structural repairs, modifications, and heavy maintenance for its fleet of business jets. This role is critical to ensuring the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of aircraft operating under FlyExclusive’s Part 135 environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong sheet metal and structural repair skills, experience with corporate or commercial aircraft, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-quality, fast-paced MRO setting.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural repairs, alterations, and modifications on business jets
Remove and install aircraft skins, doublers, frames, stringers, and structural components
Fabricate and form metal parts using approved tools, jigs, and equipment
Read and interpret engineering drawings, SRMs, AMMs, and work instructions
Drill, countersink, ream, and install solid rivets, CherryMax, Hi-Loks, and other hardware
Conduct structural inspections and support troubleshooting of airframe issues
Collaborate with A&P Technicians, Engineering, and QA teams to ensure timely task completion
Document all maintenance work performed per FAA and company standards
Maintain a safe and organized work environment while adhering to all safety procedures
Qualifications
3+ years of sheet metal or structural experience on corporate or commercial aircraft
Proficiency in blueprint reading, SRM interpretation, and precision layout
Strong experience with structural tools, fabrication, and repair techniques
Ability to perform heavy maintenance, modifications, and line-level structural tasks
Familiarity with business jet platforms preferred (Citation, Gulfstream, Challenger, Falcon, etc.)
Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
Eligible to work in the United States
Preferred Experience
Prior experience in a Part 135 or Part 145 MRO environment
Composite repair or bonding experience (not required but beneficial)
Experience performing inspections and collaborating with engineering teams
