Summary:
Work in a team environment to inspect aircraft parts, sub-assemblies, and installations across Initial Phase Manufacturing, Composites, and Final Phase to ensure compliance with type design data. Perform inspections using engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications. Conduct preliminary, progressive, and final inspections of structures and systems, verifying functionality and checking for FOD. Witness, verify, and document manufacturing process steps. Perform conformity and first article inspections per FAA-approved procedures. Ensure proper use and storage of tools and equipment. Promote workplace and product safety, report hazards, and support risk reduction efforts. Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel. Conduct area inspections to ensure compliance with standards. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required. 1 year of quality inspection experience or 2 years of GAC manufacturing experience required. 2 years of manufacturing or equivalent aerospace experience preferred. Completion of a Formal Inspection Training Program within 90 days required. Proficiency in shop mathematics and blueprint reading (CATIA preferred). Competence in using basic shop tools and equipment.
