SkyBridge Aviation is seeking an experienced Aircraft Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector with a strong background in structures, avionics, and aircraft modifications. This role is responsible for ensuring all maintenance, repair, and modification work is completed in full compliance with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and manufacturer specifications prior to return to service.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining airworthiness, supporting modification programs, and upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Airworthiness
- Perform detailed in-process and final inspections on aircraft structures (fuselage, wings, landing gear) and avionics systems (electrical, navigation, communication, flight controls)
- Identify defects, damage, corrosion, and installation discrepancies
- Evaluate and determine airworthiness status for aircraft and components
Modifications & Repairs Oversight
- Monitor and verify aircraft modification and repair work in accordance with:
- Engineering drawings and blueprints
- Structural Repair Manuals (SRM)
- Wiring diagrams and schematics
- Service Bulletins (SB) and Airworthiness Directives (AD)
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all work complies with 14 CFR Parts 43, 91, and 145
- Maintain strict adherence to FAA and company quality standards
Documentation & Records
- Review and validate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports
- Accurately document discrepancies and corrective actions
- Approve and sign off on return-to-service documentation as authorized
Technical Collaboration
- Partner with engineering, maintenance teams, and quality leadership to resolve discrepancies
- Provide guidance to mechanics on proper repair methods and quality standards
Quality & Safety
- Support the Quality Assurance Inspection Program and internal audits
- Ensure compliance with FOD prevention and safety protocols
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
Tools & Diagnostics
- Utilize precision inspection tools and test equipment, including:
- Calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches
- Borescopes and electrical test equipment (multimeters, etc.)
