Prop Culture Aviation is a growing Part 61 flight school operating Diamond DA40 aircraft and supporting a fleet of piston general aviation airplanes throughout the region. Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled, dependable Aircraft Mechanic (A&P) or Inspection Authorization (IA) to perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on DA40s and other piston GA aircraft. The role supports flight training operations and regional maintenance work, ensuring airworthiness, compliance, and timely aircraft availability. Full-time, hourly position with flexible work hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled maintenance, periodic inspections (annual, 100-hour), preventative maintenance, and repairs on DA40 and other piston GA aircraft per FAA regulations and manufacturer guidance.
- Complete logbook entries, maintenance records, and FAA paperwork accurately and timely.
- Troubleshoot airframe, powerplant, and basic avionics systems; perform borescope, compression, and other relevant tests.
- Perform AD and service bulletin compliance and track upcoming maintenance items.
- Coordinate with flight operations to schedule maintenance with minimal operational disruption.
- Maintain tool and parts inventories; order parts and consumables as needed.
- Assist with ferry flights, ground runs, and test flights as required (pilot proficiency desirable but not required).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment and adhere to all safety and quality procedures.
