Job Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:- Advance knowledge of various aircraft tie downs, concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Strong leadership skills: ability to take initiative and lead a work crew.
- Ability to work in a team environment, take direction from supervisor(s), high degree of attention to details, follow work rules, and adhere to project schedule.
- Time-management skills to meet deadlines and ensure aircraft movements are completed to avoid damaging weather events.
- Ability to work productively under pressure.
- Strong self-motivation and work ethic; ability to work with or without direct supervision.
- Ability to participate in group meetings.
- Ability to operate aircraft tugs and move helicopters in a safe and efficient manner.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and effectively plan and organize duties to meet deadlines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 10 years of aircraft movement and towing.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience supervising a Tow Team crew as Foreman or Lead.
- Working knowledge of the scheduling aircraft movement, and unit manhour performance.
- Experience with leading tow team members for safe movement of all RTC/AFTD Mission Design Series (MDS) helicopters.
- Valid state driver’s license and must be qualified to operate government vehicles under the conditions of the RTC’s Driving Policy.
- Ability to pass a drug, driving and background screening.
